OUR TUTORS
Carolena Ashley Spencer, BA (Hons) (Cantab), BA Law & German (Hons) Kent, LLM DEA Commercial Law (Paris), Degree of the Utter Bar Barrister (Non-Practicing) Middle Temple.

A law graduate, and Cambridge graduate, called to the Bar of England & Wales in 1979 and later admitted to the Paris Bar in 1991. Carolena practiced as a commercial barrister for over 25 years. Until 2001 she was head of set of Chambers in the Middle Temple. As a senior barrister she was involved in some of the most exciting commercial cases. Since then, Carolena has acted as a legal consultant to a number of international companies and banks, in the UK and Europe and wanting in-house top quality advice on all legal commercial aspects of business. She has worked for the EU in Competition Law Directorate. She has also held key teaching posts, teaching Bar School as well as posts as professor at the University of Paris Law faculties (Assas and Pantheon), teaching at Undergraduate and Post graduate levels. She has also taught Business Law and EU Law at the Institute of Political Science in Paris (Sciences Po) and also at The American University. She is firmly grounded in all aspects of commercial and banking law at a national and international level. She has taught in most of the examinable professional areas of law, with over 30 years of legal experience.

Our Senior Tutors
All of our senior tutors are academically qualified with a minimum of two law degrees, one being postgraduate. It is also a requirement that they have had considerable teaching experience within a law faculty or professional institution over a number of years.

Many of our senior tutors will also have had long experience of professional practice at the Bar of England and Wales or have been practising as qualified solicitors. This ensures that our students have highly qualified and professional help at their disposal, who are capable of responding to all the questions and needs that students will have.

Several of our Senior Tutors are Oxbridge qualified, but we would like to assure our students that all of our tutors are chosen for academic and professional excellence. They herald from some of the best Chambers at the Bar of England and Wales and top law firms in the City. They have had experience of teaching abroad in Europe and other countries and are also suited to helping foreign students.
Our Junior Tutors
All of our junior tutors are academically qualified in law with at least one degree at a minimum of 2:1 grade. We recruit the best at all times. They will have had professional training and success at a high level with their professional exams.

In many cases they will have keen academic interests and have ready and current knowledge of all the needs of younger students, especially with regards to the covering of core subjects related to undergraduate studies. They are aided and guided throughout by our senior members of staff and are regularly checked for performance. Without exception they would have had in house training and rigorous supervision, prior to being allowed to take any client on their own.
